PROJECT TITLE:

CARE International 20th Anniversary Celebration Commemorative Photography

OVERVIEW:

For nearly 80 years, CARE has operated globally to save lives, combat poverty, and promote social justice. This year marked the 20th anniversary of CARE’s relocation to Atlanta, Georgia, coinciding with the International Day of the Girl—a global observance that addresses the challenges and opportunities faced by girls, including gender inequality and access to education, health, and reproductive rights. To celebrate this milestone and highlight Atlanta's role as a global gateway, CARE hosted the “Through the Eyes of a Girl” art exhibit at the Mason Murer Fine Art Gallery, showcasing 100 artworks created by schoolgirls from four continents. These young artists have demonstrated remarkable resilience in pursuing their education with the support of CARE. CARE's anniversary festivities were integrated into the World Affairs Council’s annual conference, and One Vision Productions was commissioned to document the events.

GOALS:

We aimed to capture high-end photographs of artwork, patrons, donors, and celebrities that support CARE's social impact throughout the year.

PROCESS:

The process involved meticulous planning and coordination to ensure that every significant aspect of the event was captured. This included engaging with the young artists to understand their stories and the significance of their artwork, as well as identifying key stakeholders attending the event, including patrons and notable figures aligned with CARE's mission. Our team utilized professional photography techniques to highlight the vibrancy of the artwork and the emotional connections of attendees, creating a compelling visual narrative that illustrated the importance of education and empowerment for girls worldwide.

OUTCOMES:

The outcomes of our initiative were twofold. First, we successfully captured a diverse array of stunning photographs that showcased the talent of the schoolgirls and the support of the community gathered at the event. These images served to elevate awareness of the challenges faced by girls globally while also promoting CARE’s ongoing efforts in addressing gender inequality and education access. Secondly, the documentation provided a rich visual archive for CARE, enhancing its storytelling capabilities and serving as valuable content for future communications and fundraising efforts. Collectively, these efforts not only commemorated a significant milestone for CARE but also reinforced its commitment to social justice and the empowerment of girls.
